Professor Richard Pernot

Head Instructor/Owner

Richard is black belt in BJJ practicing the martial art for 20 years. Professor Richard has started BJJ in his country of origin, France, and has also learned the art in Sao Paulo, Brazil from one of the highest ranked masters, Flavio Behring. Since 2016, Professor Richard is living in Australia where he started to train under Professor Mario Sergio Yokoyama, the founder of myBJJ.

 

Professor Richard is an active competitor with successful results and a number of recent gold medals at the masters level (over 30).

Coach Julia Pernot

BJJ Coach/Personal Trainer/Owner

Coach Julia is brown belt in BJJ with 10 years of practice and extensive competition experience. She teaches Kids, Only Women’s and mixed BJJ classes and also coaches competitors.

 

Holding a certificate IV in Personal Training, Coach Julia is also knowledgeable about general fitness and strength and conditioning and is available for Personal Training.

Coach James Woonton

No Gi Coach

James specialises in No Gi in which he exclusively trains.

 

Teaching and training full time, coach James is a highly successful competitor, winning virtually every competition he enters. His style being a very modern jiu-jitsu, he introduces concepts and positions that might be a novelty to many experienced students and as such greatly enriches their BJJ arsenal.

Coach Louis Boutcher-Timaloa

BJJ Coach

Coach Louis is a very skilled blue belt with a great passion for the sport and exceptional teaching skills.

 

Having practiced BJJ for 4 years, Louis is an extremely knowledgeable blue belt and successful competitor in Gi and No Gi. Coach Louis teaches BJJ in the Gi.
